Coastal Zone Management 2026-2030 Program Enhancement Strategy
Every five years, states and U.S. territory Coastal Zone Management Programs are encouraged to identify priority needs and improvement opportunities (Section 309 of the Coastal Zone Management Act). Then states and territories, including Washington, work with NOAA’s Office for Coastal Management to develop multi-year improvement strategies that focus on one or more of nine priority topic enhancement goals.
The Washington Coastal Zone Management Program, housed within Ecology, is currently developing its 2026-2030 Program Enhancement Assessment and Strategy. We are interested in getting your feedback during the comment period of February 3, 2025, to March 4, 2025.
