Our Voluntary Clean Water Guidance for Agriculture (Clean Water Guidance) is a technical resource that recommends site-specific best management practices (BMPs) to help agricultural producers meet clean water standards and maintain healthy farmlands. The guidance, developed using the best available science and reviewed by our advisory group, is organized into individual chapters. The first five EPA-approved chapters are complete. The remaining eight chapters are due by Dec. 31, 2025, and will be submitted with the 2025 Nonpoint Plan. We look forward to receiving comments on the chapters due this year and expect to update both new and previous chapters regularly in the future.
Ahead of a public comment period anticipated this fall, we are releasing draft chapters as available for early previewing and will begin accepting comments on chapters as drafts are posted. Visit our webpage to access draft chapters that are currently available to preview and comment on.
