Formal Public Comment Period -- Draft 2026 Sand and Gravel General Permit

Ecology is releasing the draft Sand and Gravel General Permit for public comment.


Please note that this form is for the purpose of submitting formal comments to the Washington Department of Ecology. Commenter contact information is optional; however, contact information is necessary if you want to receive future notices related to this topic.


The current permit went into effect April 1, 2021, and expires March 31, 2026. The draft general permit, fact sheet on the draft general permit explaining the legal and technical basis for the permit, economic impact assessment, a copy of the proposed application for coverage, and information about informational meetings and public hearings can be found on the Sand and Gravel General Permit webpage.
